Correction

To add to the last post....I mean how could I forget this....It's Thursday....GREY'S NIGHT!

I went out with 3 bffs to dinner at Noodles Corner which was delish and then we came home, hung out for a bit and then watched Grey's. What a great night! And I'm not stressing out about report cards because I finished them earlier today! Sweet!

Starbucks Kind of Morning

It’s 7:47 am and normally at this time I’m walking out to my car to get on my way to school. Instead, I’m at a Starbucks with a bagel and caramel macchiato writing on my computer. This is awesome!

I have an all day conference today that happens to be only 15 minutes away from my house. I’m used to getting to work early and also having to make lunch. Today I don’t need to get there any earlier than 8:30am, they’re feeding me lunch, and I already had my outfit picked out…so getting ready this morning took something like 15 minutes, where it normally takes a good hour or so.

Today’s Plan of Action:

8:30-3:00pm Conference for CoTeaching Network – Maryland
3:00pm Drive back to school
3:00-4:15pm Work on Report Card comments or clean classroom
4:15pm Take silent auction winners to Coldstone creamery with Co-workers and try their ice cream for the first time (I’ll give my review later)
5:30ish….Go home and continue working on report cards until I want to throw my computer across the room and curse our new software Aspen.
10:30 Go to bed! I can’t WAIT until this part! This week has been nothing short of exhausting!

You know that feeling you get when you know someone is staring at you, even though you’re not looking at them in the eyes? Ugh! I hate that! A guy behind me totally was…I could see it with my peripherals! He better not have been trying to read my computer screen! How rude!

Anyways, have a wonderful Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday! Thank goodness! I’ll be at the beach this weekend with Dan, and my time at the beach cannot come soon enough!

Weekend

This weekend was fun :)

Friday night DWink and I went to go see "Back-Up Plan" with JLo. Besides the mice in the theatre (ew!) we really enjoyed it. It was funnier than I expected it to be, so I was happy with it.

Saturday was the school carnival. I was involved in the "Royal Flush" where I sat in a tank underneath a fake toilet. The students would throw a ball at a target and if they hit it, water would "flush" out and soak me. Well the awesome part about that time of the day, is that I forgot a towel! I had to dry off with paper towels in the teacher's lounge! I totally left a puddle on the floor, lol.

Saturday evening was spent with the B'loves :) We hung out with Baby K and had some delicious pizza! It was great seeing everyone, I haven't seen them in a while.

Retail Therapy

I'm in such a great mood right now! I guess all I needed was a good meal with a best friend, and some retail therapy! We went to Noodles for dinner and then to Ross to shop a bit. I really needed some short sleeve nice shirts to wear for work. Well, I found 4 great shirts for work that I love, as well as a really cute summer dress all for $45!! That's fantastic! I didn't have any buyer's guilt at all!

SO not a good week so far.

Too much to write about....but here's the jist:

Field trip didn't go very well. Messy room. Way too much laundry to do. Weird health/body stuff going on. Have to schedule doctor's appointments, but I can't really take off now. Still can't open mouth all the way.

I hope the end of the week is better...

Adding a lot of color to my day

I have been really into the bright nail polish shades lately. I used to be all about crazy colors and designs when I was younger, but then grew out of it and pretty much only wore reds and pinks.

Today I have on "Sonic Boom" by Sally Hansen (insta-dry of course...who has time to wait on nail polish anymore?) I love it! It's so fun and it insta-ntly (lol, bad I know) puts me in a great mood!

Another field trip today, but this time to the Newseum in D.C.! Woo! I'm looking forward to it. I still have to post about how messy and muddy our field trip last week was.

Is it Summer Break yet?!

So yesterday I was in my classroom after school for TWO HOURS just cleaning and organizing. I love seeing it all nice and clean now, but man what a pain in the you know what!

My students are so messy! They leave their stuff everywhere! On my desk, on the bookshelves, on the floor! I've had to bribe them with table points just to get them to clean up their floor space! Oy!

School has been so crazy lately. This week alone included 4 meetings, the kick-off for the Simulated Congressional Hearings, a field trip to plant trees, practice for Science MSA, the school play, among other things. Ahhh! Spring for 5th grade is insane! We still have another field trip left, the 5th grade picnic, SCH, promotion, Science MSA, the School Carnival, workshops, a coteaching conference, more observations, 2 music concerts, 1 more progress report and 2 more report cards, field day, etc. etc.

What's even crazier is that school gets out on the 23rd of June, and I start summer school on the 28th! I only have 5 days without students!! oy.

On a positive note...I have a free trial of Netflix, so I'm catching up on the shows from last season's Glee :) I flippin' love that show! I've been watching the new shows also! So great <3

I saw Lisa Lampanelli tonight...so funny! I was laughing the entire time! I love going to see comedians...I just love the idea that I'm going out with the sole purpose of laughing. :)

Field Trip this Tuesday

We're going to plant trees in a forrested area that is apparently covered in ticks. I have the joy of being with 100+ ten year olds all afternoon as we get muddy, dirty, sweaty and bug bitten together! Sweet!

Continuing what I had started years ago

I have been journaling and keeping diaries since I was able to write. I have a shelf at my parent's house that is full of old diaries and notebooks that are filled with entries about my life and my thoughts.

When I was in high school, before blogging was very popular, I started what I thought of as an online journal with a website called xanga. I joined in 2003 and kept it up until college. Unfortunately, I stopped writing because unbeknownst to me others had been reading my journal and using it against my friends. Basically, a few of my friends got in trouble because of it. That's not why I was journaling. I was just writing about what was going on in my life. I had no intention of making parents or boyfriends angry, I was just writing to relax and to get my thoughts on the screen.

Well I really miss doing this, and I'd like to start again. I won't put anything in here that could potentially get someone in trouble, and I will try not to make this a complete venting journal. It's more of just a way for me to relax, escape, and give me an outlet to express what I'm thinking and going through every day.

So here goes.
